What is GOLF in ROME?
GOLF in ROME
has been set up by John and Lismay Garforth, an English couple who have
been living there for 14 years. Groups of three
to eight people stay in a private
and independent part of our house, Villa Ann, situated among the vineyards
and olive groves of the Castelli Romani area, just outside the south-east of Rome.
We also cater for larger
groups of golfers, for whom we organise hotel accommodation on the
outskirts of Rome and coach transport to different courses each day,
as well as pick-up and drop-off from the airport.
Our
usual golfing break consists of 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at
Villa Ann, plus two green fees on superb courses, as well as all
your transport in our 8-seater minibus.
However, we are often asked to do longer breaks of up to a week's
stay and we transport our guests to a different course each
day; they usually also have a "day off" to go into Rome's centre for some
sightseeing and shopping.
Lismay is a trained chef and is well used to serving up top-class
Italian food! John is a 9-handicap golfer and a member of Royal
Ashdown Forest Golf Club in England and can answer any golfing
queries you may have.
There is a friendly, chalet-style atmosphere at
Villa Ann and we
offer a very high level of personal service to our guests.
Although golf in Italy is great fun wherever you go, we have chosen
to be the specialists here in Rome, where the
Courses are absolutely first-class, the climate is excellent and
all the attractions of Rome are within only half an hour's reach.
Because Rome's climate is so mild, GOLF IN ROME operates the whole
year round.
